Thank you for your interest in IvyTech charter school!
A note from our principal:
Thank you for your interest in IvyTech Charter School for your student’s academic future. We realize there are a number of choices and several different programs that are presented to you in the surrounding community. The responsibility of finding, and committing to, a particular educational environment can sometimes feel overwhelming. The staff and faculty at IvyTech Charter are here to answer any questions you may have, even if that means we may not end up being your school of choice, we believe in serving in the best interest of your student.
While there are several types of schools in our community, I feel IvyTech Charter is the only true hybrid model in Ventura County. Our hybrid program for Middle and High school combines independent study (online curriculum) with 2 – 3 day classes on-site conducted by our highly-qualified teachers. In addition to the academic classes offered, we also have several electives on-site to choose from, attending them either on your grade-level days or your alternate days off.
If you’d like additional information or are looking for an independent study only program, please call us at (805) 222-5188. I look forward to hearing from you.

Students age 18 - 19:
Admission to IvyTech Charter School will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Students over the age of 19 are not eligible to enroll in charter schools.
Once your application has been reviewed, you will be invited to a meet and greet with our Principal, Ms. Jacqueline Gardner. She will introduce you to IvyTech in detail. Together, you can decide which program at IvyTech would be best for you to be a part of.
Once a program is decided on, you will have a chance to choose your classes and electives. You will need to bring your transcripts with you to ensure you are placed in the proper classes.
There will be an orientation for you directly before you begin classes. There are a few things to remember about orientation:
- A parent or legal guardian must be present to sign the Master Agreement.
- All students grades 7-12 may be required to take a reading and math test for placement.
- You will need to bring your updated transcripts and the withdrawal form from your previous school.
- You will be issued necessary items like your Chromebook and Kindle.
